Biography

From 1997 until joining CCTEC in 1999, John was President of Aureus, Inc., a management consulting firm. The firm focused on technology start-up companies. Prior to starting Aureus, Inc., John was president of Brenner Home & Garden, a full-service landscaping and construction company serving central New York State for nine years.

John received a B.S. in plant science from the University of New Hampshire, an M.S. in science education from Syracuse University and an M.B.A. from Cornell University.

Frankly, it's gotten easier than it was in 2000 through 2003, because the economy has changed entirely. Back when I first started in '99 - you put dot com after anything and you know, you could get money. It was hilarious. I mean it was stupidly hilarious. Then it got stupidly conservative.
