Biography

Lawrence Watkins is a young entrepreneur and owner of Great Black Speakers Bureau, an organization dedicated to helping universities and corporations find speakers for the events that they host throughout the year. Founded in January 2007, Great Black Speakers has quickly risen and has become a premier force in the speaking industry, boasting over 200 African-American speakers and over 100 university/corporate clients.

Lawrence Watkins received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisville. He is currently continuing his education as the Rodney P. Hunt Fellow at the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University.

I remember one of my worst business -- or one of my best business opportunities that was not taken advantage of and which fell apart, to be quite honest, when I had a new client, one of a major corporate organization who was using us for the first time and since they were using us for the first time...(Full transcript available to logged in subscribers.).
