Melvin Goldman is recently retired from his position at the World Bank. He is a Visiting Lecturer in the Entrepreneurship and Personal Enterprise Program at Cornell University.
Goldman joined the Peace Corp after graduation from college. He taught math and science in Nepal and began a mathematics program with some Nepali colleagues for high school students in various parts of the country. Later, he set up the first private consulting firm in Nepal with some young Americans. The firm is now 27 years old and 100% Nepali.
Goldman then went to Princeton and studied economic development at the Woodrow Wilson School, after which he joined the World Bank. From 1982 to 1985 he was in charge of the office in Colombia and lived there. Then, he worked for 12 years on industrial technology development in various countries, mostly Asian.
He has now retired from the World Bank and has started a venture capital operation with some Indian colleagues to invest in technology companies in India.
Goldman and his wife now live on a vineyard in the Finger Lakes region of New York. He holds an undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master's Degree from Princeton.
Carla Ginsburg is a gastroenterologist who runs her own private practice in Boston. In addition, she is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School where she teaches students two months a year. Prior to starting a private practice, she focused on the research and administration areas of gastroenterology. These varied experiences provide her with a unique understanding of many different aspects of the medical field.
Dr. Ginsburg received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her medical degree from Yale University.
Earl Blanks is a former owner of a Party City franchise. Prior to his involvement with Party City, Blanks had started a small consulting business, the Small Business Marketing Planning Center, which provided marketing consulting services to smaller companies that generated $3-5 M per year in sales. Prior to that experience, Blanks worked at Procter & Gamble for over 7 years. Earl Blanks received his undergraduate degree from University of Arkansas and his MBA from Cornell University.
Maggie Coffey is the former CEO of Tetragenetics. At the time of this interview, Tetragenetics' mission was to bring to the marketplace a new technology for the large-scale production of recombinant proteins for use in human and animal medicine.
Coffey received her undergraduate degree from Mount Holyoke, her MBA from Harvard Business School and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University.
Jim Bittner is a partner in Singer Farms. In addition, he serves as President and General Manager of the operation. Singer Farms is a fruit farm which produces apples, peaches, apricots, plums, cherries and other smaller specialty fruit items.

Daniel Huttenlocher is a computer scientist whose research interests include the extraction of information from digital images via computer vision, the role of technology in transforming financial markets, and management of high performance software development teams. He holds 22 U.S. patents and has published more than 50 papers. A Professor of Computer Science at Cornell University as well as a Professor of Technology Management at the Johnson Graduate School of Management, he is also chief technology officer of Intelligent Markets, a firm that provides comprehensive trading technological tools to dealers and exchanges serving the institutional financial markets.
Daniel Huttenlocher has more than ten years of experience in managing research and development teams in corporate and academic settings. He has received many distinguished teaching awards in the College of Engineering and the College of Arts and Sciences; in 1996, he was named a Stephen H. Weiss Fellow at Cornell in recognition of teaching excellence, and received the Excellence in Science and Technology Award from Xerox PARC.
Daniel Huttenlocher received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his Master's and Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Bruce Ganem is Franz and Elisabeth Roessler Professor of Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Cornell University. After completing graduate study at Columbia University and postdoctoral work at Stanford, he joined the Cornell faculty in 1974, and served as department chairman from 1993 to 1997.
Professor Ganem's broad scientific research interests and accomplishments involve the emerging interfaces of organic, analytical, and biological chemistry with biochemistry and molecular medicine, including medicinal chemistry, structure-based drug design, protein engineering, and biotechnology.
Dr. Ganem has received numerous awards and fellowships, including the Catalyst Award from the Chemical Manufacturers Association and the Cope Scholar Award from the American Chemical Society. He is the author of some 200 scientific papers, and consults for several pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. He presently serves as a member of the Scientific Advisory Boards of ArQule, Inc, LeukoSite, Inc., Sorvall, Inc., and Taktix Pharmaceuticals.

In May of 2004, Ms. Hanson became a Managing Director and Senior Adviser to the President of Lehman Brothers.

Jeff Hanson is Managing Director of the Hanson Consulting Group, responsible for consulting to clients in investment banking, commercial banking, money management, and insurance on a full range of management, marketing, strategic and operational issues.
Formerly with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in Management Development, Mr. Hanson provided internal consulting services for Investment Banking, Research, Equity Trading and Sales, Fixed Income Trading and Sales, and Operations.
