Biography

Thomas Gellert is a vice president in charge of the cheese division and specialty food imports at Atalanta Corporation, a food importer in Elizabeth, N.J. Atalanta Corporation is a family owned business that is run by Gellert's father.

Thomas Gellert received his undergraduate, MBA and law degrees from Cornell University.

We're impacted as an importer. Certainly the weak dollars obvious only five to six years ago was 88 cents or 82 cents for one year, now it's a $1.40 for a Euro, so our costs have risen quite a bit plus all food commodities have gone up whether it is dairy, you know the shortages and olives, and a l...(Full transcript available to logged in subscribers.).
