Biography

From 1997 until joining CCTEC in 1999, John was President of Aureus, Inc., a management consulting firm. The firm focused on technology start-up companies. Prior to starting Aureus, Inc., John was president of Brenner Home & Garden, a full-service landscaping and construction company serving central New York State for nine years.

John received a B.S. in plant science from the University of New Hampshire, an M.S. in science education from Syracuse University and an M.B.A. from Cornell University.

But the major component of the university that runs the university is research that the faculty do outside of teaching undergraduates. And it's quite often very complimentary to the undergraduate education. That research can culminate in patents.
